The APTLY lab continuously explores the latest artificial neural network architectures in audio processing, transcription and generation. Each week, we take a look at a couple of academic papers/blogs and discuss about its contribution and how it affects the field of audio. Therefore, any papers that we find interesting, we will post under the subheading “APTLY Papers”. However, in order to understand the academic papers related to audio and machine learning, there are a couple of other papers/blogs that must be read first. Hence, this category is also meant to be a weekly post to slowly introduce the person into the world of audio and artificial neural networks. For those that are not familiar with machine learning or artificial neural networks, start from the beginning and work your way up to the latest post. Please note that some background knowledge of machine learning may be required to understand the academic papers that we introduce to you. Good luck!
