Vassilios Tzerpos (PhD in Computer Science, University of Toronto, 2001), director of APTLY and LaSSoftE, is an Associate Professor at York University in the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His current research interests include deep learning applications for music classification, transcription, processing, and generation, as well as software engineering education. Previously, he focused his research in software reverse engineering with a focus on software clustering.
Dr. Tzerpos received his BEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering (1992) from National Technical University of Athens. He received his MSc (1995) and his PhD (2001) in Computer Science from University of Toronto. In 2016, he received a diploma in Audio Production and Engineering from Metalworks Institute.
